Your Gratitude ResponsesYour Gratitude Responses

We asked you to share sentiments of gratitude with us and you delivered! From being thankful for family, friends and colleagues to the beauty of the Cape, your responses were meaningful, sincere and joyful.

Every day my husband and I share three things we are grateful for. We started doing it a few months ago when we realized we were complaining more about life than being thankful for living. It’s a daily reminder to both of us that even the smallest sentiment of gratitude can change your whole outlook. The glass half empty becomes the glass half full. We enjoy the way it’s developed into a peaceful practice and it has helped us both to focus more on joy.

Victoria Donovan – MACC-ROI Specialist

Dear CCHC and Falmouth Hospital Family:

In every shared milestone, challenge or collaborative success we faced, your resilience and teamwork stood out. Your contributions have been invaluable and are a constant source of motivation. I’m thankful for your excellent showing of our shared goals of caring and commitment to our community and am thankful for the genuine connections we’ve formed and the sense of unity that defines our workplace. May you be able to reflect on all the good we have accomplished and bonds we share.

May your Thanksgiving be joyous and as bright and rewarding as your efforts.

Lauren Seitz, BSN, RN – Off-Shift Clinical Educator, FHA-Clinical Education

I am very grateful for my cousin who is not only my mother’s namesake but is also like a sister to me. She is supportive but will firmly guide me when necessary.

Courtney Kelly, PharmD, CSP, MBA - Senior Manager of Retail & Specialty Pharmacy

I am grateful for my niece. She has brought so much joy and happiness to my life. She helps me feel young, and she has such a kind and caring heart. She always brings a smile to my face. She helps to remind me to slow down and enjoy little things. I’m grateful to be able to help guide and mold her into the amazing woman I know she’ll grow up to be.

Frannie Quirk, RN – Cape Cod Hospital (CVICU/ICU)

I am grateful for my spouse and family, my job and colleagues, my friends, the beauty of the Cape, this community, and for my good health.

Beth Howard - Manager of Annual Giving, Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation

I want to share the gratitude I have for my awesome Dad. This year I turned 40 and he turned 80! He is the second oldest of seven and he is the most positive, caring and supportive Dad anyone could ask for. He is also an amazing husband to my stepmom for the last 25 years and is so proud of his family, loves to golf and play cards, too. We are SO lucky to have him as he’s had some recent health issues, but he remains positive. My Dad has always given me unconditional love and support and I’m just the luckiest woman to have such a fantastic Dad!

Leanne Priest, LPN

This holiday season, I am grateful for my healthy family.

The area is breathtaking. You all are lucky to have such an amazing community to work in. I feel blessed to be here. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your team.

I am so grateful for the staff on the maternity floor! My daughter just had her first baby here and the nurses are amazing. They have made my daughter and granddaughter feel so well cared for. I am grateful to be part of Cape Cod Hospital!

Thanks,
Michele Gagnon – Orthopedic Surgical Liaison

I have been doing a frequent gratitude list for many years. There are days that are better than others as we all have our moments. But I can always find so much to be grateful for. Today my list is so long on most days. It always includes my health and my drive to be a better future me—mind, body and spirit; my family; my career, as I feel I can make an impact on other lives and the people I work with; living on beautiful Cape Cod regardless of the season; my faith in something greater than me; the woman friends I have who always have my back; I could go on and on! When I am sitting in gratitude I can’t be sitting in worry and negativity.

Kathryn Harris –
Director Wound Care Center, HCI-Wound Center

There are many reasons to be grateful, especially during this time of year. I am extremely grateful for my family, friends and getting to work with the awesome staff at Falmouth Hospital! I am very lucky to spend time with my “grown” children, who have decided to live and work here in Massachusetts. I am thankful to cook Sunday meals and still have my family around the table. I am very grateful to not have any construction/tourists on the bridge on my commute to Falmouth! Indeed ‘tis the season for gratitude.

Kathleen Mulkern – Administrative Assistant 2, FHA-Quality / Patient Safety

I would like to say that I am very grateful for my new job at the Heritage in Falmouth. I am thankful to be working at such an amazing place and working with so many wonderful people. I truly appreciate everyone here and all those that helped make this possible!

I am grateful that I still have both of my parents – ages 91 and 92 and that they are well and that they still live in the home that my dad built over 50 years ago!

I am grateful for the wonderful, supportive and respectful HR Team I get to work with every day.
