Daniel Almy: Falmouth Hospital Rock Star

Meet the hard-working operating room assistant who graduated from the Project SEARCH program and is thriving in his full-time role. In his spare time, Daniel finds joy playing the guitar, trumpet and piano, and running local races such as the Falmouth Road Race and Cape Cod Half Marathon.

In celebration of National Hospital Week (May 12-18) and National Nurses Week (May 6-12), Cape Cod Healthcare hosted several special events. STARS Shine on Red Carpet

In mid-July, Cape Cod Healthcare rolled out the red carpet to honor its remarkable team members at Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital. The STAR Committee greeted employees outside the cafeterias and were invited to walk the red carpet. Team members were welcomed with smiles, sweet treats and heartfelt thanks for their hard work and dedication. Looking ahead, the red-carpet celebrations in 2025 will take place in March and October at both hospitals.

Doggone Cute: A Dose of Love and Affection

Slideshow: Cape Cod Healthcare team members shared photos and ‘happy tails’ of their beloved dogs. We asked you to send us photos of your four-legged friends and you certainly delivered! We received nearly 40 photos of your pups, both large and small and everything in between, photographed in a variety of settings from exploring conservation trails to settling in for a snooze on the couch.

Heart and Soul: Faces of Cardiac Care

Meet Kayla Geddis, RN, BSN, Clinical Supervisor, Cardiovascular Center-Hyannis. In her role, Geddis supervises a clinical staff of 20 people, including medical assistants and nurses. She oversees workflows for providers and focuses on process improvement and high-quality patient care.

Triage Team: Faces of Cardiac Care

Meet Jennifer Mahannah, RN; Lynne Horan, RN; and Lisa Bushueff, RN, at the Cardiovascular Center in Falmouth. Their critical thinking and assessment skills help determine the appropriate level of care for patients.

10 Questions with Stephanie Parker

As Executive Director of Cardiovascular Services, Parker’s role includes direct oversight of the cardiovascular service line, including Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Radiology, Structural Heart, Electrophysiology and Cardiac Surgery at Cape Cod Hospital.
