Setting the Stage for Success
CCHC’s new management workshops provide participants with a dedicated day to explore what it means to be a successful people manager.
As part of Cape Cod Healthcare’s 2023 EMPOWERMENTU workforce initiative to develop, support and celebrate our staff, CCHC Managing for Success workshops have been well underway for over a month and receiving high marks from attendees!
Designed as a full-day workshop for managers with direct reports, these sessions have provided participants with a dedicated day to explore what it means to be a successful people manager, whether one has three, 30 or 100 direct reports. Led by Bridget Torres from the CCHC HR Learning & Development Team, discussions focus on key management skills and effective communication, covering topics such as active listening, setting expectations, shifting one’s mindset, creating a productive working environment, providing feedback and coaching, and even recognizing the importance of team wellness and self-care. A portion of the day is also set aside to review key management knowledge – covering topics from management rights and HR law to important CCHC policies.

Upon completion of the workshop, attendees are also given access to an online Manager Toolbox filled with tangible resources for communicating with confidence. Managers are provided with their own account and can utilize this toolbox as needed for continued support.
