Thank you to Dunkin’ Donuts in Hyannis for their generous gift of support to Cape Cod Hospital in June. During the grand re-opening celebration at the Iyannough Road location, Ken Amiott, Vice President of Operations of Couto Management Group, presented a check to Beth Howard, Manager of Annual Giving at the Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation. The Dunkin’ team also made a surprise delivery of four dozen donuts to Cape Cod Healthcare’s Urgent Care Center next door! Thank you to Dunkin’ for giving our teams a positive boost!

Through the Subaru Loves to Care Program, Copeland Subaru Hyannis and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society donated blankets and messages of hope to members of Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation for oncology patients undergoing treatment at Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital. Subaru is a generous supporter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and partners with Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation every year to bring love in the form of warm blankets and hand-written notes of encouragement to those battling against leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma (click arrow at right to see photo of hand-written notes).

The Eastward Ho! 18-Hole Ladies Golf Committee has raised more than $60,000 to support the Cape Cod Women’s Cancer Prevention and Early Detection Fund in the past 11 years. The fund provides assistance covering the cost of diagnostic testing not covered by health insurance. This year’s charity golfing event was held on July 16.

Beth Cuda Baker is the daughter of Dick and Ellie Cuda. Through Ellie and Dick’s generosity, Cape Cod Healthcare opened the Ellen B. and Richard S. Cuda Women’s Health Center and Garden at Wilkens Medical Complex, which provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art diagnostic capabilities specific to women’s needs.

Golfers Swing Into Action…

This year’s Pink Day Golf Tournament (pictured above) took place at Cummaquid Golf Club on Thursday, July 18. The tournament broke all of its previous fundraising records and raised more than $18,000 for the Cuda Center’s Cape Cod Women’s Cancer Prevention and Early Detection (WED) Fund. The fund provides preventative breast cancer services that are not covered by insurance such as diagnostic mammograms, ultrasounds and MRIs. With this year’s donation, they will have raised more than $73,000 for Cuda Women’s Health Center since the tournament began in 2010.
