Employees at Work — and Play — on Cape Cod

Last month, we launched a new recruitment campaign which features different CCHC team members representing what is so unique and special about Cape Cod Healthcare: the ability to work — and play — on Cape Cod. We invite you to meet some of our team and learn how they enjoy that place where career meets lifestyle.

In this edition, meet Mariana, an Emergency Room nurse; Alissa, a nurse and childbirth educator; and Jen, an urgent care nurse.

Meet Mariana, an Emergency Room Nurse who has been with Cape Cod Healthcare for over 13 years — and an artist with a passion for sunsets.

Inspired to become a nurse after a two-month hospital stay, Mariana says about the experience, “Those nurses became my family. I remember from that moment on I just had this drive to kind of give myself to others in a way that was given to me.”

Meet Alissa, a Nurse and Childbirth Educator who has been with Cape Cod Healthcare for over 13 years

— and a teacher at heart, whether guiding parents-to-be or leading a community Zumba class.

“I have a passion for helping women have children,” says Alissa. “It's just such a pleasure to be a part of women's lives while they're transitioning from pregnancy to parenthood.”

Meet Jen, an Urgent Care Nurse who has been with Cape Cod Healthcare for over five years — and a frequent stroller on the Brewster flats.

Jen says her favorite part of working at Cape Cod Healthcare is her co-workers. “We all work really hard. We all respect each other,” she says, and “We all are doing the same thing for the same goal of helping patients and helping people in our community.”
