Celebrating YOU: Ice Cream Trucks, Festive Meals and More!
In celebration of National Hospital Week (May 7-13) and National Nurses Week (May 6-12), Cape Cod Healthcare hosted several special events. Treats for staff included breakfast for overnight shifts, ice cream trucks and complimentary meals at Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital; and cookie platters were delivered for all outpatient staff. In addition, CCHC team members received small, commemorative gifts as a token of appreciation!
To highlight the week in review, we put together a slideshow of photos featuring hospital nurses enjoying a special breakfast and staff chilling out with cool afternoon treats. (Word on the street is that Double Caramel Magnum and Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough ice cream were among the top picks!) With a backdrop of cheerful and Hawaiian-themed decor, the dining halls at both hospitals wrapped up the week with festive luau-inspired menus, including tempura chicken, pineapple BBQ pulled pork, coconut rice and pineapple coleslaw. Casual Gourmet provided the icing on the cake with an array of sweet treats, from fudge bombs and blondies to rocky road bars and Boston crème cupcakes.
Thank you to all our nurses, hospital and all staff for your high-quality care and for supporting the health and well-being of our community! To view slideshows, click on arrows at right.
