CCHC takes over Cape Cod Young Professionals social media for a day
On a social media platform that once featured photos of dinner plates and dog parks, Instagram has become a visible channel for community involvement and even career advancement. Five Cape Cod Healthcare employees recently became “influencers” for a day, taking over the Cape Cod Young Professionals (CCYP) Instagram story to talk about career opportunities and what they love about working at Cape Cod Healthcare.
CCYP, an organization that connects, engages and advances the careers of young professionals right here on Cape Cod, invited our employees to create and submit short videos which were featured throughout the day. By showcasing the unique benefits of a career with Cape Cod Healthcare, while helping to promote current and available career opportunities – CCHC employees offered an inside look at what makes CCHC a great place to work and a direct path to employment opportunities that could lead to career growth and advancement.
An additional benefit of the social media “takeover” was the opportunity to showcase our staff as brand ambassadors, displaying career diversity at CCHC while avoiding sales-like job pitches. Instead, they focused on the work, the culture and the positive community impact Cape Cod Healthcare has every day.
Thank you to Chris Widegren, digital media specialist; Shamere Smith, CCH security; Evan Carper, HR recruiter; Kellie Oliveira, patient access scheduling manager; and Teresa Knight, regional RN manager for living in the social media spotlight.
