A Monthly LiveWell Message from Dr. SidA special video message for November from Dr. Sid

November Theme: THANK

With the upcoming holidays, this month’s activities are focused on gratitude. This includes showing gratitude for our own bodies and health by taking care of ourselves, leading into this busy and sometimes stressful time of year.

This month, take a few moments to think about what you are grateful for and what you take for granted, says Kumara Sidhartha, MD, MPH, medical director of the CCHC Employee Health Plan.
In this two-minute video—and speaking in perfect plank form—Dr. Sid highlights November’s LiveWell theme of gratitude. He encourages us to write a thank you note, thank your family and your team members because expressing gratitude is proven to improve your mood.

The activities in our Living Well program this month will encourage you to:

  • Use our tips to practice smarter holiday eating. Your body will thank you!
  • Boost someone's spirit (and your own) by extending thanks to someone who needs it.
  • Prioritize your sleep routine this month to support your health. It's hard to focus on gratitude – or anything else – when you're exhausted.
  • Get your core in shape for the holidays by joining our Planksgiving Challenge (individual challenge, Nov 7-27).
