The Holly Berry Bazaar, a popular fundraising event organized by the Orleans branch of the Cape Cod Hospital Auxiliary, returns Saturday, Nov. 9, at Nauset Regional Middle School.
Held every two years, the cherished holiday event features a wide array of unique hand-crafted items made by auxiliary members, including baked goods, knitted merchandise and gift baskets. Attendees will also discover attic treasures, jewelry—and much more. The bazaar is the perfect place to find one-of-a-kind gifts. Plus, don’t miss the $500 cash raffle!

Annual races across the Cape in November help raise money for local organizations. The events combine community spirit, physical activity, and charitable giving. It’s a great way to step forward and make a difference!
Falmouth in the Fall
Sunday, Nov. 3
11 a.m.
Falmouth in the Fall follows the same beautiful course as the renowned 7-mile Falmouth Road Race—in cooler temps. Although Falmouth in the Fall is sold out, there are still opportunities to sign up as a volunteer. Proceeds benefit local charities. The race starts in Woods Hole and ends in Falmouth Heights.
Chatham in the Fall 10k
Sunday, Nov. 24
11 a.m.
Chatham in the Fall, the cooler sister race to the Chatham Harbor Run in June, is held the Sunday before Thanksgiving on the same scenic 10k course. This year’s proceeds benefit Sharing Kindness and Cape Cod Athletic Club’s annual Stuff-A-Bus Toys for Tots holiday gift drive on race day. Registration: $40 (with no shirt); $50 (with shirt). Race starts and finishes near Monomoy Regional Middle School, 425 Crowell Road.
Thanksgiving Sandwich 5k
Thanksgiving Day, November 28
8 a.m.
The Thanksgiving Sandwich 5k Race is a cherished tradition on Thanksgiving morning. Proceeds benefit the Sandwich and Bourne food pantries and the Cape Cod Military Foundation. The race starts at Merchants Road in Sandwich (Stop & Shop Plaza, 65 Route 6A).
Chatham Turkey Trot
Thanksgiving Day, November 28
8 a.m.
Walk or run 3.1 miles (5k) with friends and family on Thanksgiving. All money and donations raised are donated to the Lower Cape Outreach Council. The Chatham Turkey Trot starts at 8 a.m. at the Oyster Pond parking lot. Entry fee: $35 before Nov. 4; $45 between Nov. 5 and Nov. 28. 24th Annual Andrea Holden Thanksgiving Race
Saturday, November 30
10 a.m.
An annual tradition is held in memory of Andrea Holden, a beloved child from the Cape Cod community. The Andrea Holden 5k race, held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, brings together runners and walkers of all ages to support the Andrea Holden Foundation, which funds programs to help local children and families. Online registration fee: $20. After Thanksgiving, register in person at Marathon Sports or on race day at the Dennis Inn for $30.
The race starts at the Dennis Inn, 25 Scarsdale Road. Parking at the Cape Playhouse, 820 Main St., Dennis.
Eastham Turnip Festival
Saturday, November 23
10 a.m.-3 p.m.
This beloved annual celebration presented by the Eastham Public Library should “turnip” a smile. The Eastham Turnip Festival highlights the quirky charm and agricultural heritage of Eastham. Known for its signature locally grown turnips, this fun-filled festival offers a unique mix of family-friendly activities (turnip bowling, anyone?), food tastings (turnip tips!), local vendors, and of course, turnip-themed contests (enormous turnip contest—guess the weight of the pumpkin wanna-be!). With live entertainment and a vibrant community atmosphere, the festival provides a one-of-a-kind experience that celebrates the town’s agricultural roots and small-town spirit.
