Pedal to the Metal: Racing for a Good CausePedal to the Metal: Racing for a Good Cause

CCHC Team shifts into high gear to support local nonprofits at Seaside LeMans

Drivers … start your engines!

On Sept. 6, Team CCHC put the pedal to the metal at the 2025 Seaside LeMans event at Mashpee Commons, a high-energy fundraiser where local teams race Formula One–style karts around a quarter-mile track to support Cape Cod nonprofits.

Seaside LeMans Check Presentation

Christopher Lawson represents the Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation during the check presentation.

Led by Michael Bachstein, vice president of facilities management, our six-person Cape Cod Healthcare team represented our organization across the system — from nursing and security to patient and family experience.

“I have been racing Seaside LeMans for three years,” says Bachstein. “I do it every year as I love my team and the challenge of the race.”

The 24th annual event raised $300,000 to be shared among five Cape Cod nonprofit organizations, including Cape Cod Healthcare. This year’s funds will help support comprehensive cancer treatment and care for patients.

Thank you to our incredible team members who helped drive change for our community!
