In our June Pulse, we asked CCHC employees/fishing enthusiasts to enter their names into a raffle for tickets to the 26th Annual Bluefish and Striper Tournament held on July 16 at the Wianno Yacht Club. Cape Cod Healthcare was one of the sponsors of the event, which raised money for the Rotary Club of Osterville’s Good Works Fund.
Drum roll, please.
The winning name pulled from the hat: Don Silva, a senior HVAC/R in the engineering department at Cape Cod Hospital. He invited friends and CCH retirees Mike McGonigal and John Storrelli to join him for a day at sea. On a picture-perfect Saturday, the trio traveled on Silva’s boat, a 24-foot Nauset, and dropped their fishing lines into Cape Cod Bay. Don said there were bluefish and stripers aplenty, and he happily shared pictures from their fishing adventures.
