Seaside Le Mans
Saturday, Sept. 7
Noon-4 p.m.
“Drivers ... start your engines!” Race fans won’t want to miss The Seaside LeMans, where teams of fearless drivers hop into Formula One European-style racing karts. From the drop of the green flag to pit stops and the much-anticipated final lap, the four-hour race on a 1/4-mile track offers non-stop excitement for participants and spectators alike! The 2024 race beneficiaries of Seaside Le Mans include Cape Cod Healthcare, Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance, Children’s Cove, the Brazilian Resource Center and Heroes in Transition. Michael Bachstein, Vice President of Facilities Management, will lead his six-person team, Kartz on Fire, to represent Cape Cod Healthcare.
How to watch the race: The Seaside Le Mans race follows a round trip quarter-mile route through the parking lot near the cinema at Mashpee Commons. The best way to watch the race is to walk around the perimeter of the entire course.
Harwich Cranberry Festival
Saturday and Sunday— Sept. 14 & 15
9 a.m.-4 p.m.
This two-day event celebrating the local cranberry harvest features food trucks, plenty of family fun, and more than 100 talented artists and crafters displaying their wares for sale. (A little early holiday shopping, anyone?) When you hear the music, it’s time for some toe-tapping live entertainment at CranJam Music Festival! Ample free parking. Second Summer Cycle
Sunday, Sept. 15
The perfect biking event for riders of all levels. Second Summer Cycle offers a picturesque journey through 11 towns and benefits 19 nonprofit organizations on Cape Cod. There are three distances—33, 69 and 100 miles—all of which end in a celebration at Motta Field in Provincetown with food trucks and cold brews from Barnstable Brewing. Dance to the music of Sarah Swain and the Oh Boys, use your $30 worth of vouchers provided as part of your registration to purchase food from four different food trucks, to include cold beverages provided by Barnstable Brewing Company, with Second Summer Cycle cans as memorabilia! Cape Cod Canal Day
Saturday, Sept. 21
11 a.m.- 6 p.m.
The community-wide, family friendly event takes place in beautiful Buzzards Bay Park on the banks of the Cape Cod Canal. The day features arts and crafts vendors, live entertainment, wine and beer garden, live entertainment, kids activities, a 5K road race (registration required), food vendors and the “Cape Cod Canal Cup Cornhole Tournament.” Canal Day is a fun-for-all event for visitors and locals alike!
Love Local Fest
Sunday, September 29
11 a.m.- 5 p.m.
The 12th season of the free and family-friendly Love Local Fests features local artists, brands and makers along with local food trucks, locally crafted beverages and kids activities, all overlooking the beautiful Hyannis Harbor. Sip local with Devil's Purse and Truro Vineyards; eat local with Mom & Pops Burgers, Dancing Spoons, The Filling Station and more; and enjoy live performances from Funktapuss at 11:30 a.m., followed by Sarah Swain and the Oh Boys at 2:30 p.m.
