During February’s American Heart Month, and every day, Cape Cod Healthcare encourages women to be aware of their risks for heart disease and to take charge of their heart health.

Heart disease is the number one cause of death for women in the United States. It is known as a silent killer, as the symptoms of heart disease or heart attacks in women can be very different from men and not always recognized as heart-related.
